But is Apple a sustainable company? Do they care about anything other than profit and expanding their already huge company?Īccording to the Apple website, they do. ![]() Apple products are found in nearly every household and in almost every teenage palm. We all know about Apple: Apple computers, Steve Jobs, the iphone, “there’s an app for that”, etc. Carrier knows how important history is and making sure that it is available for years to come. They are willing to put in the time, effort, personnel, and resources to help ensure the safely and purity of this masterpiece. This represents CSR in that Carrier wants to protect the world’s history and incredible works of art. The task took five years and Carrier delivered an outstanding system that was exactly what the chapel wanted.Ĭarrier used their resources to help the Sistine Chapel and to save the most famous painting of Michelangelo. So Carrier stepped in to help the cathedral out.Ī team from Italy, the US, and France were brought in to engineer a system that would control the cathedral’s temperature without damaging the murals and being basically invisible to visitors. With this upgrade it brought in many more visitors, heat, moister, and problems. The original frescoes were painted in the 1500s and not until 1990 were they refreshed. This is one of the most recognized and iconic murals known to man and Carrier helped save it. Yes we can recognize the display of God the Father surrounded by His angels reaching out his arm and pointing his index finger. We all know the giant, famous, ceiling painting done by Michelangelo in the Sistine Chapel in Vatican City. Now they are helping globally, but not just for the average person and home. They strive to make energy bills go down and customer satisfaction go up. Since 1994, they have led the industry in the phase-out of ozone-depleting refrigerants while introducing many of the world’s most energy-efficient heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems. The company has been around since 1902 and they have steadily become a well-established company. One of the largest air conditioning manufacturing companies is Carrier. We love to crank that air conditioning low and freeze ourselves inside while it’s 100 degrees outside. The main message about this ad is that people need to be more aware about our eniviroment because it affects our daily lifes more than people think.Īs we all know we love our air conditioners during the heat of summer. Once people realize how much littering affects our Earth, then they will learn to stop. In order to clean up our ocean and beach, it takes a lot of money and will power. If smaller fish eat the trash in the ocean then more than likely humans will end up eating the bigger fish. If people litter, not only does it affect our world and population, but it also affects our food chain. People do not realze how big of a deal it is to not litter. The reason why Greenpeace choses to symbolize the trash as fish was because it shows how much litter is taking over our ocean. In the adverstiment, the picture shows a ton of old bottles and cans floating in the ocean as if it was a sea of fish. This title really grabs the audiences attention because it is in big bold blue letters and makes the reader want to learn more about what they may read. ![]() The main title is “the greatest wonder of the sea, is that its still alive”. The color of the font for this ad was blue, which helped tie in the similarities it had with the ocean. I know that I did not realize how big of a deal littering was until I saw this particular ad. ![]() Many people do not realize how much littering in the ocean affects our world. In this case, this particular advertisement that Greenpeace is talking about has to do with the ocean. Not only does Greenpeace deal with the United States, but also many other countires around the world. Greenpeace is a nongovernmental organization that deals with protecting our enviroment.
